The Bible says ...
All have sinned
We are all sinners.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
God is perfect. He must punish sin.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
We cannot get to Heaven by trying to be good.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
God loves us
God showed His love for us.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
We must believe
God promises eternal life to all who believe on Jesus.
"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts 16:31)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus, God's only Son, died on the cross to take the punishment for our sin and He arose again.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
You need to
BELIEVE that you are a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for your sin.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
ACCEPT GOD'S GIFT of everlasting life.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
When you believe on Jesus on your Saviour, God forgives your sin. He makes you part of His family and promises you a home in Heaven with Him forever.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:2-3)
"Dear God, I know that I have sinned and deserve to be punished. I believe that Jesus loves me and died on the cross to take the punishment for my sins. I now trust Jesus as my personal Saviour. I know that I have everlasting life. In Jesus' precious name, Amen."
